Sometimes a debt elimination plan can have a negative, unexpected effect - some debts really should be held onto and repaid over their original timeframe. 


Don't become so caught up in your debt elimination plan to bee blind to the reality of your situation - you are in debt, and paying it all off doesn't mean you can't slide back in. There are risks, there are disadvantages and there are difficulties many people will simply be unable to overcome - a debt elimination plan is not for everyone, only those who are ready and who will indeed benefit from debt elimination.
